South Africa – Department of Home Affairs invites Bethal youth to apply for Smartcards

BETHAL – The Department of Home Affairs will be celebrating Youth Day on Saturday, 16 June by rendering services to the youth.

Their office will be open on this day as part of this department’s initiative to encourage the youth to apply for ID Smartcards.

The department’s focus will be on learners from the age of 16 years and older and all youngers who will be applying for their ID Smartcards for the first time.

Applications for pensioners and first-time applicants are free, applicants applying for re-issueing of ID Smardcards will pay R140, first-time applicants must take their birth certificates and their mother’s ID book and a parent or guardian is also required to accompany first-time applicants.

No ID photos are required.
