Organizers have officially announced the next edition of the Trustech expo.

Biometrics and Smart Cards to Converge at Trustech 2017First established more than 30 years ago as the smart cards-focused Cartes Secure Connexions conference, the annual event rebranded last year as Trustech to more fully incorporate the converging areas of payments and secure identification under the umbrella concept of trust-based technologies. This year’s event carries the subtitle “Pay, Identify, Connect & Secure”.

Over 250 speakers will be featured, with Uber Security Lead Chris Valasek to deliver a keynote address. The event will also feature over 350 exhibitors, including major names from the biometrics field – an area of growing importance to the smart-card market – including Dermalog and NEXT Biometrics. And an array of conference tracks will tackle topics like PayTech Disruption, Securing the IoT, and Biometrics for Authentication.

Trustech 2017 will take place at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, and will run from November 28th to November 30th.
